Cody is currently serving as the Campaign Manager for King County Councilmember Sarah Perry's re-election campaign. In this role, his responsibilities include the coordination of a team of six consultants, dozens of volunteers, and event hosts and participants. He also organizes all campaign fundraising efforts; including dozens of interviews, endorsements, events, and house parties; as well as sending out hundreds of calls, emails, and texts each week.
Cody is student at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy. Earning his Masters of Public Policy, he has rigorously studied quantitative methods, domestic and foreign policy analysis, and subject-specific policy areas like defense and economic policy. As a part of Cody's client-based capstone project, he consulted for the US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) to learn more about the factors that motivate eligible legal permanent residents to naturalize as citizens.
Cody has experience leading his peers; whether that be as a martial arts instructor for over four years, as the Vice President of his university's student government, or as the Graduate Chair of Georgetown's Institute of Politics and Public Service. Cody's time spent interning for Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) and Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (WA-07) also allowed him to better understand how he could continue to serve his local community while being thousands of miles away in DC.
